A Western Australian ticket has won a share in tonight’s $80 million Powerball jackpot and is now worth $20 million.
WA’s winning ticket was one of four Division One winners across the country, with the other winning tickets sold in Victoria and Queensland.
Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said it is fantastic to celebrate WA’s second Division One Powerball win of the year after a trio of friends took home a $30 million Powerball jackpot in April.
“What an incredible year for WA Powerball players,” she said.
“Tonight’s win is a life-changing moment that somebody, or a group of people in WA are about to experience. We cannot wait to meet the ticketholder and welcome them into Lotterywest’s winner’s room.
“Our advice for any West Aussies with a Powerball ticket is to check your numbers as soon as possible.”
Along with this $20 million Division One win, WA players are also celebrating prizes across the other divisions including one Division Two ticket worth more than $29,000.
The WA community is also a winner tonight, with this six-week jackpot run contributing more than $15 million to Lotterywest’s grants program, which supports community organisations across the State.
A Lotterywest grant of $2.65 million has supported the Dawesville Community Centre, now officially open, providing a space for the local growing community to connect and access activities.
Tonight’s winning numbers are 9, 22, 23, 3, 13, 28, 32 and the Powerball is 5.
As the Division One prize is $20 million, Lotterywest will hold off sharing the exact location of where the ticket was sold, a policy which encourages the protection of the player.
