One Western Australian may need to reimagine their new year’s resolutions, after taking out a share in tonight’s $40 million New Year’s Eve Megadraw.
The state’s winning ticket, from Currambine Lottery Centre, is now worth $3.3 million and was amongst 12 from across the nation.
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said the result now means WA ends 2022 on a high with 75 Division One winners.
“This year WA Division One winners took home more than $231 million in prizes. Lotterywest hadn’t seen prize money reach these heights since 2015.”
“This year started off with a massive win for a Kalgoorlie syndicate of around 200 players sharing in more than $63 million.”
“To finish off the year with a life changing prize for another WA player is really special.”
The good news from the draw didn’t end there, with 49 WA players claiming a Division Two prize worth around $10,000 each.
The winning numbers were 11,23,35,42,20 and 45.
Thanks to those players that entered the Megadraw, $7.13 million has been raised for the WA community through the Lotterywest grants program.
