WA community wins big thanks to $150 million Powerball draw

A ticket from South Australia has matched the numbers to tonight’s $150 million Powerball Division One prize.

Although a WA ticket didn’t take home a Division One prize this time, tonight’s draw produced two Division Two winning tickets across the State, now worth $276,000 each.

Lotterywest CEO Colin Smith said the WA community is the winner in tonight’s draw.

“Thanks to WA players and retailers, Lotterywest has once again raised millions of dollars to fund essential community projects, events and initiatives across the State,” Mr Smith said.

“Lotterywest is proud to be the only State Government owned and operated lottery in the country, where all available profits raised from games like Powerball are returned to the WA community.”

Thanks to this seven-week jackpot run alone, more than $27.7 million has been raised thanks to WA players and local retailers.

This funding means Lotterywest can provide grants to groups such as $139,000 to Oz Harvest Limited for equipment to support the provision of food relief to vulnerable and disadvantaged people.

The Division Two tickets were sold from The Good Grocer Karratha IGA and Midland Gate Lottery Kiosk.

This weekend, WA players have a chance to join the millionaire’s list with Saturday Lotto’s $5 million draw.

Tickets are available in-store, online and via the Lotterywest App until 6pm draw day.
