WA community the winner in $40 million Powerball jackpot

A lucky ticket purchased in South Australia has won tonight’s entire $40 million Division One Powerball prize.

While no Western Australians were able to match the winning numbers in tonight’s $40 million Powerball jackpot, WA players picked up prizes in all the game’s other Divisions.

This included three Division Two winners each set to collect more than $80,000.

“We’re absolutely delighted with WA’s response to tonight’s Powerball draw,” said Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman.

“While we would have loved for a West Aussie to win Division One, the big winner in tonight’s draw is the local community.

“Over the six-week jackpot roll, players who bought Powerball tickets from Lotterywest helped us to raise more than $4.5 million to support WA's health, sports and arts sectors, as well as thousands of community groups located across the State.”

The winning numbers were 7, 5, 13, 4, 2, 14, 11 and the Powerball was number 14.

WA players still have a chance to buy tickets to Tuesday’s Oz Lotto draw, which jackpotted to $30 million.

Tickets are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

Players are encouraged to play responsibly and spend only what they can afford.
