WA community the big winner in tonight’s $55 million Powerball jackpot

A lucky ticket purchased in Victoria has won tonight’s entire $55 million Powerball jackpot – the third largest prize won in Australian Lotto history.

While no Western Australian was able to take out tonight’s multi-million dollar jackpot, over 135,000 local players picked up a prize in the game’s other Divisions.

This included one Division 2 winning ticket, purchased from Bibra Lake News and Lotteries, worth a sweet $86,113.

“We’re absolutely delighted with WA’s response to tonight’s jackpot,” said Lotterywest spokeswoman Pina Compagnone.

“While we would have loved for a local punter to take home the multi-million dollar prize, the big winner tonight is the local community,” she added.

“Over the last seven week jackpot roll, local players who purchased their tickets direct from Lotterywest have helped to raise over $6 million to support WA’s health, sports and arts sectors, as well as not-for-profit groups across the State.”

The winning numbers from tonight’s jackpot draw were 32, 7, 5, 34, 38, 11 and the Powerball number 12.
