Sharing is caring for southern suburb’s family

‘Sharing is caring’ is more than just a saying for a southern suburb’s family after one of the winners of Saturday’s $30 million Megadraw said he plans to repay the favour of sharing his prize with his daughter.

“My daughter won the lotto a couple of years ago and she shared her winnings with me, so the first thing I plan to do is share my prize with her,” he said.

Part of the retail syndicate from Beeliar that was among 14 tickets across the country matching the winning numbers in Saturday’s Megadraw, the southern suburb’s man took home more than $100,000.

The family, well known to a lotto win, are certain the winning streak will continue.

“I’ve been playing lotto for a long time; I actually bought my first car from a $10,000 scratchie win.”

“Since then, I’ve always had a feeling I would take out a Division One prize and now that both my daughter and I have, I still think we have another win in us.”

WA had three winning tickets in Saturday’s $30 million Megadraw, each worth $2.1 million, produced from Beeliar Village Newspower, Heights Lottery Centre and Rossmoyne Newsagency.

This week, players have the chance to win big with Tuesday’s $20 million OZ Lotto jackpot and Saturday’s $10 million draw.

Tickets are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
