Powerball winner collects entire $80 million jackpot, setting new WA record

A Western Australian ticket has taken out Powerball’s entire Division One prize tonight – a record amount to ever be won in Western Australia.

The ticket, worth $80 million, eclipses WA’s highest win of $50 million from Powerball in 2015.

This win also more than doubles WA’s second largest Division One prize for 2021, held by a northern suburbs couple who took out OZ Lotto's Division One $30 million prize in February.

Lotterywest Acting CEO Jeremy Hubble said he was thrilled to be able to congratulate a WA player on this huge win.

“We’ve re-written the history books for WA Lotto tonight with this incredible result,” he said.

“It also contributes to a fast-growing tally of Division One winners across the State in 2021 which has reached 64.”

Tonight’s draw produced a further 311,233 WA winners across the other Divisions, including one Division Two winner who will take home $89,207.

The Division Two winner was sold from Newpark Lottery Centre and News.

Tonight’s winning numbers were 27, 30, 4, 5, 33, 26, 19 and the Powerball was 8.

Powerball’s six-week jackpot run has raised nearly $14 million for the WA community, and more than $313 million has been returned over the past financial year.

WA players have another chance in Tuesday’s $30 million OZ Lotto jackpot.
