Powerball hits $60 million

Powerball has reached an incredible $60 million.

It’s only the fourth time this year the game has jackpotted to these levels.

When no one matches the seven winning numbers plus the Powerball, the game jackpots.

Tonight’s draw has seen more than 163,000 WA players claim a prize across the other divisions.

Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said tickets will be in demand for next Thursday’s $60 million jackpot.

“We could see 500 tickets sold per minute during the busiest hour of ticket sales, which is expected to be between 5pm and 6pm on jackpot day,” Mr Mooney said.

“Western Australians get excited when Powerball starts to heat up.

“When it gets to these higher jackpot numbers, it’s an ideal time to get some friends or family on board and get a syndicate ticket to not only keep the cost down, but also enjoy the fun of sharing it with loved ones.”

Tickets for the $60 million Powerball jackpot are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

Lotterywest is the only State owned and operated lottery across Australia.

In 2020-21, Lotterywest returned more than $313 million to the WA community through its grants program.
