Munster man wins Division One…Again

If the phrase ‘you’ve got to be in it to win it’ ever needs a mascot it would be the man from Munster who just claimed his second Division One prize.

The $382,311 windfall thanks to his ticket from Spearwood Heights Newsagency isn’t the first time the man in his 40s has seen his numbers match up.

“I had a win in 2007 where I picked up $150,000, I’ve kept playing ever since,” he said.

“We were at a friend’s party when I checked the Lotterywest app, I called my wife over and we have been floating ever since.

“I was always very confident, you have to be.”

As the good news came at the end of a two-week holiday, the win has made the return to work a lot easier to take.

Lotterywest spokesperson Jennie Fitzhardinge said sights are now set on tonight’s $50 million OZ Lotto draw.

“We would love to see a WA ticket end this six week jackpot run,” Ms Fitzhardinge said.

“Our two Division One winners from Saturday’s draw have taken WA’s 2019 winners tally to 46 and we’re hoping OZ Lotto can help that number grow.

“When you play Lotterywest games, you help bring WA dreams to life.”

Players are encouraged to play responsibly and spend only what they can afford.
