Millions raised for WA community in Powerball jackpot

A ticket purchased in Queensland has taken out tonight’s entire $60 million Powerball jackpot.

Tonight’s $60 million win is the second largest in Australian Lotto history, behind two $70 million prizes both won in Queensland in 2016 and 2013.

Although no Western Australian was lucky enough to take out tonight’s multimillion dollar jackpot, more than 216,800 local players picked up a prize across Divisions Two to Nine sharing in more than $4.1 million.

This included one Division Two winning ticket worth $381,369, which was purchased from Currambine Lottery Centre.

“We would have been thrilled to add another WA Division One winner to our current tally of 44 for the year, but the good news is over $10 million has been raised over this jackpot run to support the local community through Lotterywest grants,” said Lotterywest spokesperson Tamara Bardas.

“When you play Lotterywest games, the money stays in WA,” she added.

Tonight’s winning numbers were 29, 35, 12, 30, 17, 23, 15 and the Powerball number 10.

There is a draw everyday across all of Lotterywest’s games including Saturday Lotto, Set for Life and OZ Lotto.

Tickets can be purchased until 6pm day of draw from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
