The owners of a Division One Megadraw ticket from 2020 say no mortgage, a boat and a better work life balance are what they have spent their winnings on.
The System 9 ticket from Austin Lakes IGA was shared by three family members in an unofficial syndicate and scored them a prize of more than $1.5 million.
The ticket was one of three WA winners in Saturday Lotto’s Megadraw three years ago.
The ticket holders say they also used the prize to put a deposit down on another property.
One of the winners said she’s still working in the healthcare industry.
“The financial freedom means I can work casually and choose my desired hours,” she said.
Lotterywest spokesperson Emma Rogers said Megadraw has continued to create WA millionaires.
“A West Aussie took home $2 million in this year’s mid-year Megadraw, and another WA player scored $3.3 million in last year’s end of year Megadraw,” she said.
“We’re hoping for WA to take a good slice of the $30 million Megadraw in a few weeks.”
Tickets are available for Saturday Lotto’s $30 million Megadraw in-store, online and via the Lotterywest App until 6pm 30 December.
