Harvey home to $2 million Saturday Lotto prize

Western Australian players who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket in Harvey should check their tickets following a Division One prize on the weekend.

WA’s winning Saturday Lotto ticket was sold by Harvey Newsagency and is now worth $2 million, thanks to Saturday Lotto’s $10 million special event.

The winning ticket was one of five across the country that matched the numbers to a Division One prize, with the other Division One wins in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

Harvey Newsagency store manager Nayan Patel said the store was full of excitement and celebration this morning.

“Lots of customers have been coming into the store this morning congratulating us and sharing the excitement, even in the rain,” Mr Patel said.

“We sold two Division Two Saturday Lotto prizes in the last two months, it’s brilliant to finally sell a Division One winning ticket.”

Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said Saturday’s Division One win brings WA’s winner tally for the year to 57, with these players sharing more than $117 million in prizes.

“Saturday Lotto continues to be good to WA players and it’s great to see a winning ticket sold by one of our regional stores,” she said.

“After a stormy weekend, a $2 million Division One win is just the kind of sunshine needed.”

In more good news, the Saturday Lotto $10 million special event raised more than $2.4 million for Lotterywest’s grants program, thanks to players and retailers across the State.

Lotterywest grants support communities across WA, including a grant of $25,929 providing Harvey Community Resource Centre with equipment and furniture enabling increased community connection and participation for Harvey locals.

This week’s OZ Lotto jackpot is offering WA players the chance to win a $15 million prize. Tickets are available until 6pm on Tuesday in-store, online or via the Lotterywest App.
