Western Australia’s winning Powerball ticket, now worth $20 million, was purchased at Newsxpress Halls Head.
The winning ticket was one of four Division One wins across the country that shared an $80 million jackpot.
Last night’s $20 million Division One win is WA’s second Division One Powerball win of 2025.
After checking the winning numbers on the night of the draw, the owner of the winning ticket reached out to Lotterywest on Friday to confirm their ticket is a Division One winner.
WA’s winning ticket is a Slikpik 18, which the owner of the ticket purchased on Thursday afternoon before the draw.
Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said the ticketholder looks forward to visiting Lotterywest HQ in the coming weeks to claim their prize.
“Last night’s $20 million win is fantastic news for this WA player, brightening up a very dreary Perth day,” she said.
“This is a life-changing moment, and we can’t wait to welcome the winner into Lotterywest’s winners’ room and hear how they plan to enjoy their prize.
“This win becomes WA’s third Division One Powerball win in 12 months after a trio of friends from Perth’s eastern suburbs won a $30 million Powerball prize in April, and 15 workmates shared a $30 million Powerball prize last October.”
Last night’s Powerball jackpot also produced a Division Two win in Western Australia worth more than $29,000, with the ticket sold by Bridgetown Newsagency.
Thanks to WA players and retailers, more than $15 million was raised through this six-week Powerball jackpot run, which will support WA community groups through Lotterywest’s grants program.
A Lotterywest grant of $2.65 million has supported the Dawesville Community Centre, now officially open, providing a space for the local growing community to connect and access activities.
This weekend WA players have the chance to join the millionaires’ list, thanks to a $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw.
Tickets are available until 6pm on Saturday in-store, online or via the Lotterywest App.
