A Forrestfield workplace syndicate has more than 2.8 million reasons to celebrate thanks to Saturday Lotto’s Superdraw.
The ticket from Forrestfield Marketplace News matched the numbers 36,41,15,17,14 and 7 has now turned into more than $2.8 million.
The winner who checked the ticket said the group of 15 workmates had only started playing together six months ago.
“We’ve been on a bit of a run in the past couple of months,” he said. “We won $200 on Thursday and used that for some Saturday Lotto tickets.
“When I discovered we had won I felt sick, they must have thought I was mad, I was sitting there like a dummy.
“I said we would win, but I didn’t think it would be so soon.”
Owner of Forrestfield Marketplace News Fred Geb said syndicates are a fantastic way for players to boost their chances of winning ahead of Thursday’s $80 million Powerball draw.
“Syndicate tickets mean you’re sharing the cost of a high-value ticket without spending more than you would by yourself,” Mr Geb said.
“And you’ve got to go with a Powerpik, a Powerpik guarantees you the Powerball.”
Tickets for the $80 million Powerball draw are available until 6pm Thursday from Lotterywest in-store, online or through the app.
