Family first

A Morley resident has come forward to claim her weekend’s half-million-dollar win.

The middle-aged woman said her initial thoughts were that she had misread the numbers on her winning Saturday Lotto ticket.

She bought the Slikpik 12 online, which turned into a $555,000 prize, and said that her priority would be to help family.

“It will also help me to live a more comfortable retirement,” she said.

Lotterywest HQ is also keen to hear from two mystery Saturday Lotto winners – one from the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw worth $555,000 and the other that dates to April 2020 worth $613,000.

The tickets were bought from Busy Bee Kiosk in Kelmscott and Willetton Newsagency respectively.

“We are urging players to check their wallets, glove compartments, or even to go through that haphazard pile of paperwork in a home office. You never know, a winning ticket could be just sitting there,” Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said.

“For those who know they didn’t buy a ticket in Kelmscott or Willetton, tonight’s $20 million Powerball offers players a chance to win big as does this weekend’s $20 million Superdraw Saturday.

“Speak to your local retailer about a $30 Combo Pack which includes both games.”

Thanks to those WA players who purchased a Lotterywest ticket, funds have also been raised to contribute to the COVID-19 Relief Fund.

All available profits from Lotterywest tickets, excluding statutory grants, will go towards the Fund which supports organisations and people experiencing hardship due to COVID-19.

Tickets are available in-store, online or via the app until 6pm draw day.
