A northern suburbs Dad had to hand over barbecuing responsibilities after winning more than $900,000 in last weekend’s Saturday Lotto.
Purchased online, the ticket was among six across the country to match the winning numbers.
“I had my son and his girlfriend around on Saturday night for dinner and I thought I’d just check my ticket,” he said.
“When I realised that I’d won Division One, I turned to my son and said, “You’re going to have to take over the barbecue, I need to sit down”.”
Lotterywest spokesperson Alana Christian said with Father’s Day coming up this weekend, Lotterywest had several last-minute gift ideas for Dad on offer.
“This week players have the chance to win $20 million with Saturday’s Superdraw,” she said.
“We’ve also got Father’s Day Scratch’n’Win tickets on offer which start from as little as $1, so you don’t have to spend much for Dad to win big.”
Tickets are available from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app until 6pm draw day.
