Bye-bye to bricklaying

26 February 2020

A Kingsley bricklayers plan to retire is now concrete, coming forward to claim one of Saturday Lotto’s Division One prizes from the weekend.

The winner said he made a split-second decision to buy a ticket that wasn’t from his usual retailer.

It turns out that purchase from Good Luck Lottery Centre in Hillarys was cement to be, his ticket now worth $642,608.

“I left the ticket in my glove box and forgot to check it over the weekend,” he said.

“I only remembered that I had it when I went to grab my daughter’s wallet from my car and saw the ticket.

“I think it’s time to retire, my job is a physical one and the win makes this decision a whole lot easier.”

Meanwhile, a couple in their 50’s from Secret Harbour have come forward to claim their Saturday Lotto Division One prize.

They said the win was more than what they expected at first glance.

“I was excited because I thought we had five numbers and we would get $1500,” the winner said.

However, their ticket from The Lucky Charm in Secret Harbour ended up being worth $647,041.

The search is now on for the fourth winner from Saturday’s draw, with the numbers matching to an online account.
