Better gate and gardens for WA scratchie winners

Two Perth locals have more than Christmas to celebrate this month after each claiming Scratch’n’Win Top Prizes.

One of the ticket holders has taken home $100,000 thanks to their $5 Sizzlin 7’s scratchie from Greenwood Kingsley Super Deli.

The Northern Suburbs woman in her 70s said she’s still in shock after discovering her win.

“I sat in the car for 10 minutes and just stared at the ticket,” she said.

“Now I can fix my car and get my garden done.

“It really takes the pressure off everyday living.”

Another winning ticket belongs to a couple in their 60s from Cloverdale.

The $3 Blast Off to Cash scratchie was purchased from Here’s Luck Lottery Centre and is worth $35,000.

The ticket holder said they will use the prize to get a new gate for the driveway, and head to Bali for some chill out time.

Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said all eyes have turned towards Tuesday’s OZ Lotto’s  $70 million draw.

“If a WA player takes out tomorrow’s $70 million OZ Lotto Division One prize, it will be our biggest win for 2023,” he said.

“The current record for the year is Powerball’s $40 million win, which was sold from Springs News in March."

Tickets for Tuesday’s OZ Lotto draw are available in-store, online and via the Lotterywest App.
