Albany delivers million-dollar win thanks to Wednesday Lotto

A ticket from Albany has turned into a $1 million dollar prize following Wednesday Lotto’s draw.

The ticket, sold from Brooks Garden News, matched the numbers 14, 43, 41, 9, 21 and 31.

Brooks Garden News Liz Castieau owner said this was its second Division One win in the space of five months.

“We had a customer come in after our first win and told us we would have three Division One wins by the end of the year,” she said.

“It would be nice if that third win was following tonight’s $60 million Powerball draw.”

Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said Wednesday’s win now meant 57 Western Australian tickets had claimed a Division One prize this year.

“Wednesday’s draw also produced two Division Two prizes worth more than $5,700,” Mr Mooney said.

“Those tickets were sold from Good Luck Lottery Centre in Hillarys and The Lucky Charm Bull Creek.

“WA’s 57 Division One winners have shared in more than $114 million, and we would love this number to rise following tonight’s $60 million Powerball draw.

“Thanks to our players, Lotterywest raises millions of dollars each year for WA community groups.”

Tickets for tonight’s $60 million Powerball draw are available until 6pm from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
