A special draw

One Western Australian will be celebrating after taking out a share of tonight’s $10 million Saturday Lotto.

In a special event, tonight’s prize pool was bumped up from an estimated $5 million to $10 million.

The State’s winning ticket, worth $2.5 million, was one of four from across the nation and was produced from Ashburton Newsagency.

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said this year had been a strong one for WA Lotto winners with three big OZ Lotto wins including a northern
suburbs couple who took home the entire $30 million jackpot in February, and two taking home $5 million in the same draw last month.

“It’s shaping up to be an incredible year with 30 Division One winners to date,” she said.

More than 170,000 WA players also took home a prize tonight, including 16 Division Two prizes, each worth just shy of $10,000.

The winning numbers were 19, 16, 5, 41, 15 and 20.

Thanks to those local players that entered, more than $2 million has been raised to go back to the community through the Lotterywest grants program.

The excitement is set to continue next week, with a Cashcades promotion taking place on Monday 17 May and Wednesday 19 May.

On the Monday and Wednesday Lotto draws, if there’s no Division One winner, the $1 million prize will be shared by Divisions 2 to 6.
