A new millionaire minted in Morley

A Morley Lotto player is now a millionaire thanks to a Western Australian ticket winning a Division One Millionaire Medley prize.

WA’s winning ticket was purchased from Crimea Newsagency in Morley and matched the numbers to a Division One prize of $1 million on Friday night.

Leena Patel, who works at Crimea Newsagency, said it was fantastic news for the store.

“We were very busy on Friday with lots of new customers plus plenty of regulars, so we have no idea who the winner could be,” she said.

“Lots of customers like to play Millionaire Medley because the price of a ticket is very reasonable to potentially win a $1 million prize.

“We’ve already had customers asking about the winner this morning, it’s so exciting to sell a Division One winning ticket.”

Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said the winning ticket was not registered to a Lotterywest membership, meaning there is no way of contacting the winner to share the good news.

“If you bought a Millionaire Medley ticket from Crimea Newsagency in Morley recently, my advice is to hold on tight to it and check those numbers,” she said.

“Friday’s win takes our Division One tally for 2025 to 69 players sharing in more than $161 million in prizes, and we hope to see that number grow following this weekend’s Saturday Lotto $20 million Superdraw.”

Thanks to WA players and retailers, all available profit from every Lotto ticket sold supports the WA community through Lotterywest’s grants program.

A Lotterywest grant of $1.5 million is supporting the WA Day Festival, happening on 22 and 23 November at Burswood Park, as well as WA Day activities in the regions.

This weekend’s Saturday Lotto Superdraw gives WA players the chance to share in a $20 million Division One prize. Tickets are available until 6pm on Saturday in-store, online or through the Lotterywest App.
