$4 million flutter

A Swan View man has come forward as the owner of Western Australia’s second Saturday Lotto Superdraw ticket worth $4 million.

The Slikpik 50 from newsXpress Centrepoint in Midland was one of two WA-based tickets worth $4 million each.

The FIFO worker said he had the occasional flutter with Lotterywest games and saw it as a chance to give back to the WA community and support charities.

“I’ll now give back somehow to help those in need,” he said.

“My car is borrowed, now I can get my own.”

The other $4 million prize was claimed by a Kardinya couple thanks to their Slikpik 30 from Kardinya Park Newsagency and Cards.

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said WA players have another chance to win big in tomorrow’s $40 million Powerball draw.

“We would love to see more seven figure winners in Western Australia,” Ms Coleman said.

“WA is home to 50 Division One winners who have shared in almost $66 million so far this year and hopefully this number will grow after Thursday’s $40 million Powerball draw.”

Tickets are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

All available profits from Lotterywest tickets go towards the Lotterywest COVID-19 Relief Fund which support organisations and people experiencing hardship due to COVID-19.
