With only one sleep to go until the end of year $30 million Megadraw tomorrow night, Lotterywest has revealed some tips to improve your chances of winning a prize.
Lotterywest said ‘syndicates’ are a great way to play as they reduce the cost of a ticket, while improving your chances of winning.
“About 20 per cent of our Division One winners struck lucky playing on a syndicate this year,” said Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone.
Ms Compagnone said popular syndicate tickets included a Slikpik 50 and a System 9.
“The more games your ticket holds, the more chances you have of winning,” she said.
“A Slikpik 50 will give you 50 chances to win Division One improving your odds from 1 in 8 million, to 1 in 162,901.
“While a System 9, gives you 84 chances to win improving your Division One odds to 1 in 96,965.”
Ms Compagnone said other advice to WA players was to get their Megadraw tickets early to avoid tomorrow’s busy rush.
“The Megadraw is certainly one of the most popular Lotto events of the year and in WA, we expect around one million tickets to be purchased across the State,” she said.
“That’s equivalent to one in two adult West Aussies entering the draw.
“Busy periods are expected to peak tomorrow afternoon when close to 550 tickets each minute will be produced, so we encourage local players to get their tickets early.”
While thousands of WA players are set to collect a Megadraw prize tomorrow night, Lotterywest forecasts to raise over $5 million to support the WA community.
Tickets in the $30 million Megadraw are available until 6pm tomorrow from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
