Powerball ready to re-write Australian Lotto history!

Australian Lotto history could be made tomorrow night if one player takes out tomorrow night’s $80 million Powerball jackpot.

The second largest jackpot offered in the game’s 23 year history could see not only the State’s largest Lotto prize of $50 million smashed, but also the current national record of $70 million.

“We could see both the local and national history books re-written, at the same time as welcoming our first WA Division One winner for 2019,” said Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone.

Powerball has powered to a massive $80 million as a result of no player being able to match the game’s winning numbers and Powerball over the last eight weeks.

Lotterywest said one popular ticket choice being purchased this week was a ‘Powerpik’, which gives you the winning Powerball.

“Not only do you need the winning Powerball to take out the $80 million Division One prize pool, it’s required for six of the nine prize divisions across the game,” said Ms Compagnone.

“A Powerpik will also improve your chances of winning Division One.

“For example a Powerpik 7 costs just $24 and gives you 20 chances to win, improving your Division One odds from 1 in 134.4 million to 1 in 6.7 million.”

Ms Compagnone said there were lots of players seeking some of the luckiest Powerball numbers.

“Over the last 12 months the most frequently drawn winning Powerball numbers have been 32, 29, 25, 7, 9, 17 and 24,” she said.

“The numbers 3, 13 and 19 have been the most frequently drawn Powerball.

“And for those that think consecutive numbers are a rare occurrence, latest trends show at least two consecutive numbers have been winning numbers in about 80 per cent of draws over the last nine months.”

Tickets for the $80 million Powerball jackpot are available until 6pm tomorrow from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

Players are encouraged to play responsibly and spend only what they can afford. The cost of a ticket can be shared by forming a syndicate with family, friends or work colleagues.

When you play Lotterywest games, the money stays in WA. Over the Powerball jackpot roll, over $10 million has been raised to support the WA community, and tomorrow’s draw is set to raise a further $4 million.
