OZ lotto $10 million jackpot could ease the rainy-day blues

The weather may not be much to write home about but someone could be jetting off to sunnier climes after tomorrow’s OZ Lotto draw.

Tuesday’s jackpot has reached a sizzling $10 million, which could just provide the ray of sunshine we’re all looking for.

Lotterywest spokesperson Lisa Williams said OZ Lotto is one of the nation’s best-loved jackpotting games and it’s not hard to see why.

“WA has produced four OZ Lotto Division One winners in the past 18 months,” she said.

“Between them, these players have scooped a combined prize pool of $65 million.”

Over the past five years the numbers 28, 9, 45, 7, 13 and 22 have been drawn the most in OZ Lotto draws.

The top performing suburbs have been Morley, Mandurah, Kalgoorlie and Perth.

As if a $10 million jackpot isn’t exciting enough, there are changes afoot as a new OZ Lotto game launches tomorrow.

As part of the game enhancements, the Division One prize pool will now start at $3 million, up from $2 million.

OZ Lotto customers have said they want to see bigger prizes and more winners, so the changes will improve the chance of winning any prize from 1 in 55 to 1 in 51. The average prize across Divisions Two to Seven will also increase.

How the game will change

  • Seven numbers will be drawn from a barrel of 47 numbers rather than 45.
  • There will be an additional supplementary number, increasing the supplementary numbers drawn from two to three.

The price of an entry will increase by 10 cents per game (plus retailer commission). Changes come into effect from tomorrow, Tuesday 17 May.

Thanks to our players, OZ lotto has returned over $600 million to the WA community in the past 14 years.

As well as Tuesday’s $10 million OZ Lotto jackpot, there’s another chance to win big on Thursday as Powerball has jackpotted to $80 million.

Tickets are available until 6pm on draw day in-store, online or via the app.

Players are encouraged to play responsibly and spend only what they can afford.
