Calling unclaimed ticket holders from Kalgoorlie Powerball win

Lotterywest is calling for unclaimed ticket holders from the winning Kalgoorlie Powerball jackpot syndicate to make contact to claim their prize.

The historic $120 million Powerball jackpot Division One win was shared with a player from NSW and a syndicate from City News Kalgoorlie, with each ticket worth $63 million.

Whilst approximately 220 winning tickets from the 250-share syndicate have already been claimed since the 24 February draw, there are still around 30 unclaimed tickets remaining with owners yet to come forward.

Lotterywest spokesperson Lisa Williams said Lotterywest HQ has been buzzing with excited winners over the past few weeks, but there are still some ticket holders who haven’t claimed their prize.

“If you are one of the unclaimed ticket holders, please give us a call to discuss arrangements to verify your ticket so we can make your payment,” Ms Williams said.

“This is a fantastic win for regional WA and we will do all we can to deliver this prize money to its rightful owners.

“Lotterywest respects the privacy of all players and we also understand that it’s not easy for everyone to get to Lotterywest HQ.

“If you can’t get to Perth, or if you’re concerned for your privacy, please contact us.”

WA players have a year from the date of the draw to claim their Division One prize.

Last financial year, thanks to our players and the retailers who sell our games, over $313 million was raised for health, sports, arts and many community groups located across the State.

This includes a Lotterywest grant of $20,000 towards the St Barbara's Festival in Kalgoorlie. The festival recognises the ongoing contributions the mining sector makes to the region and is a way for the local community to come together to celebrate all that is great about living in Australia’s largest regional outback city.

There’s double the chance of winning big this week with Thursday’s Powerball jackpotting to $20 million followed by Saturday Lotto’s $20 million Super Draw on 19 March.

Tickets are available up until 6pm on the day of the draw and can be bought in-store, online or via the app.
