Booragoon sells second Division One ticket exactly one year apart

Lotto Lottery Centre in Booragoon is celebrating selling a second Division One winning Saturday Lotto ticket exactly one year apart.

WA produced two $1 million tickets in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw – one from Lotto Lottery Centre in Booragoon and the other via Lotterywest Online.

The winning ticket from Booragoon is a 14-share retailer syndicate, with each share worth over $85,000 each.

Lotto Lottery Centre owner, Sharon Ben-Pelech , was not only happy for the winners, but also ecstatic his store sold another winning ticket.

“Congratulations to the winners, I’m sure there’s some very happy people out there today,” he said.

“This is some kind of good omen, we have 11 months left in the year, hopefully we sell another Division One ticket this year.

“We are into our numbers, so hopefully the winning intervals become shorter, maybe six months apart.”

Seven players have claimed their share of the retailer syndicate including a southern suburbs man in his 20’s, a win in which he almost missed out on.

After taking part in the retailer’s syndicate for the past five years, the man had almost forgotten to pick up his ticket during the week, leaving it to the last minute.

“I was thinking I would just miss out on this one, someone else could take my spot,” he said.

The man told his parents, who didn’t believe him, and had to visit them so his dad could tick off the numbers.

“It hasn’t quite sunk in yet, but the win is definitely going to help me get ahead,” he said.

A further nine WA players took out Division Two, each ticket worth almost $12,000.

The Division Two tickets were sold at:

  • The Lucky Charm Newsagency Willetton
  • The Lucky Charm Waikiki
  • Tuart Hill Lottery Centre News
  • Mt Barker Newsagency
  • Minninup Forum News
  • Karratha Lottery Centre and Newsagency
  • Queens Supa IGA plus Liquor
  • Lotterywest Online

The State’s winning streak continued on Sunday, with a ticket winning Division Two in Set for Life.

The only winning Division Two ticket in the country has won $60,000, paid out at $5,000 a month for one year.

It was sold from Pearsall IGA.

There’s still another chance to join the million-dollar club, with tomorrow’s $30 million OZ Lotto up for grabs.

Tickets are available until 6pm tomorrow via Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
