A dairy assistant from Waikiki in Perth’s southern suburbs has come forward to claim more than $33,000 in Division 1 Super66 prize money.
Husband in tow, the woman produced what was later explained to be an accidental purchase.
“We actually stuffed up and bought the wrong ticket – we’d never heard of Super66 before and even thought about returning it,” the woman said.
“$33,000 later we’re glad we didn’t,” she added.
The couple said they only play Lotto when they have spare change and took a chance on a ticket purchased from Shoalwater News and Lotteries.
“I thought my hubby was going to hit the deck when we realised we’d won,” the woman added said.
“They say good things come in threes – the Tigers won the Grand Final, we won Super66 and with the $21 million Superdraw on Saturday we might see you again on Monday,” she added.
Lotterywest spokeswoman Chloe Lawler said although Western Australia had experienced unprecedented Superdraw luck so far this year, every tip would count with $21 million on the line.
“There have been seven Superdraws so far this year with WA producing a winner on almost every occasion,” Ms Lawler said.
“That’s over $18 million we’ve given away in Division 1 Superdraw prize money alone,” she added.
Ms Lawler said the game’s most commonly drawn numbers for 2017 are 23, 21 and 16.
