WA’s Division One prize tally tops $100 million for the year

The weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw has delivered Western Australia with its 47th Division One winner of the year, taking the Division One prize total to over $100 million.

The WA win was one of three new millionaires from across the nation with each winner taking home $1,364,143.

The ticket, which remains unclaimed, was purchased at Haynes Good News Agency in Brookdale and located in the City of Armadale.

Store Owner Angel Yu was thrilled to welcome their first Division One winner since taking ownership of the store only seven months ago in April this year.

“The atmosphere in-store is buzzing with staff and customers talking about who it could be,” she said.

“This holiday season will certainly be unforgettable with all those extra zeros in the bank account to celebrate with.”

Haynes Good News Agency is no stranger to Lotto luck with a large young family pocketing a $10 million OZ Lotto prize in December 2016.

The weekend win follows hot off the heels of a Kalgoorlie mother who claimed her $3 million Powerball prize last Friday.

Thanks to those that play Lotterywest games, the City of Armadale received a $12,669 Lotterywest grant earlier this year for equipment to support environmental groups in the area caring for nature reserves.

Looking for a chance to add your name to the Division One winners tally? Tickets are now on sale for the $30 million Megadraw on Saturday 29 December from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
