WA produces its third Division 1 Wednesday Lotto win in one week

Lotterywest is set to make another lucky local an instant millionaire after it was revealed that the State produced the only Division 1 winning ticket across the nation in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.

The ticket – sold at Newsextra Bentley News Tobacconist – is worth $1 million and marks the State’s 57th Division 1 win for the year.

Store owner Bhupendra Dashora said there had been a buzz around Bentley since news of the $1 million win broke.

“We’re over the moon that a Bentley local is waking up an instant millionaire,” Mr Dashora said.

“In fact, this is the fourth Division 1 win our store has produced in just a couple of years so we couldn’t be happier,” he said.

Mr Dashora added that he was encouraging all his customers to double check their numbers.

“The news is spreading quickly and we’ve had many hopeful locals coming in to the store this morning to check and re-check their tickets,” he said.

“You could be Bentley’s newest millionaire and not even realise it,” he added.

Lotterywest spokeswoman Chloe Lawler said WA was riding a wave of Wednesday Lotto luck.

“We’re experiencing unprecedented Wednesday Lotto luck here in the West,” Ms Lawler said.

“In the past week alone, WA has produced all three of the nation’s Wednesday Lotto Division 1 winners,” she said.

“When you play with Lotterywest, not only are you in with a chance of becoming an instant millionaire – around one third of every dollar you spend is returned to the State,” she added.
