WA produces its second Monday Millionaire ahead of $60 million Powerball jackpot

Western Australia has continued on its winning Lotto streak with the State producing its second consecutive Monday millionaire within a week.

Last night’s million dollar Monday Lotto ticket, sold from Media Lottery Centre & News in Cannington, follows another million dollar ticket produced in last week’s draw, claimed by a mother of three.

This roll of winners could be a sign of good things to come as we prepare for a $60 million Powerball jackpot on Thursday – the fourth highest offer in the game’s history.

Owner of Media Lottery Centre & News Tan Phan said he’s delighted one of his customers is now the State’s latest millionaire.

“I am really happy that we have sold a Monday Lotto Division One ticket, but now we need a Powerball winner,” he said.

“Powerball is an incredible $60 million and I’ll be encouraging all our customers to buy a ticket for this draw.”

Lotterywest said one of the most popular ticket entries for this week’s jackpot was a Powerpik 7 which automatically gives players the winning Powerball.

“By giving you the winning Powerball number, a Powerpik increases your chances of winning,” said Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone.

“Six out of the nine prize divisions need the Powerball number to win, so a Powerpik gives you great odds of winning a prize!”

To win Powerball, players need the seven winning numbers from Barrel A, along with the winning Powerball from Barrel B.

Players can also stay in the game with ‘advance play’ and enter a draw up to nine weeks in advance.

Tickets for this Thursday’s $60 million Powerball jackpot are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or through the app.

Support for the draw has already helped Lotterywest to raise over $6 million for the WA community, with Thursday’s night’s draw expected to raise a further $3 million.
