WA produces another Lotto millionaire

December is shaping up to be one to remember for Western Australia with another new millionaire, this time thanks to Monday Lotto.

The ticket, from The Lucky Charm Gwelup, was the only Division One prize produced throughout the country and is now worth $1 million.

Owners of the Lucky Charm Gwelup Max Kong and Jing Li said they were delighted about the news.

“It’s very exciting, we only took over this business three weeks ago!” they said.

“We feel really lucky and urge people to now check their tickets.”

The winning numbers in last night’s draw were 5, 40, 44,23,22 and 20.

Minninup Forum News in Bunbury, Reuben’s News in Collie and The Lucky Charm Willetton, all sold a Division Two prize last night, each worth almost $6,000.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said December could end up being our biggest month in terms of Division One winners.

“In reflecting on the year, the most winners WA has had in a month was in February with 10,” Ms Compagnone said.

“We’re only halfway through December and already we have six Division One winners, so we are well on track to smash the February record.”

The next big chance for WA players to win big is in this Thursday’s $20 million Powerball draw.

Tickets are available from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

Thanks to those that purchase Lotterywest tickets, all available profits are returned to support the WA community.
