WA is on a roll! Nine Div 1 wins for 2019 ahead of $20 million Superdraw

Last night’s Monday Lotto draw has delivered Western Australia’s ninth Division One win so far this year, with Hutton Street Lottery Centre in Osborne Park producing a $1 million winning ticket.

Owner of Hutton Street Lottery Centre, Sushie Govender, said it was the first Monday Lotto the store has sold.

“We’ve sold plenty of Saturday and OZ Lotto wins but this is great news,” she said.

“I didn’t sleep last night I was so excited.

“Our regular customers are very loyal, so we’re hoping it’s one of them”.

The win comes just hours after a family of four from Dudley Park came in to Lotterywest to claim $410,064 from last weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

The small business owners said they have had their fair share of ups and downs; and this win will help get them back on the up.

“I used the last $16 dollars from my weekly spending money to buy the ticket,” the wife said.

“We really needed this.

“We were in absolute shock and didn’t believe it until we went to Lotterywest and the lady who greeted us confirmed it.”

The family said they were planning a small hotel getaway to celebrate their win along with staying on top of their mortgage.

Lotterywest spokesperson Jennie Fitzhardinge said the State was off to a flying start to the Lotto year, with the $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw just around the corner on Saturday 16 February.

“We’re hoping to break the record for most Division One wins in February ever,” Ms Fitzhardinge said.

“We’re hopeful we’ll see some more winners come through our door after this Saturday”.

Tickets are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or through the app
