WA delivers a trifecta of Lotto winners

Western Australia has produced three Division 1 Lotto winners over the weekend who have shared in a combined $1.2 million worth of prizes.

Lotto luck struck in Dianella, Merriwa and the Perth CBD with the following stores delivering the winning tickets:

• Shamrock Newsagency, Perth (Saturday Lotto Division 1 prize of $580,653)
• Merriwa Plaza Newsagency (Saturday Lotto Division 1 prize of $580,653)
• Nextra Dianella Newsagency (Super66 Division 1 prize of $33,332)

The weekend windfall brings WA’s tally of Division 1 Lotto winners to 20.

Owners of the Merriwa store, Vladimir and Irene Lenc, said it was their second Division 1 winner in just three years.

“We sold a big winner worth almost $263,000 in 2015 and now this,” Mr Lenc said.

“I think our in-store Buddha and shamrock may have helped bring some of the luck – and our lucky customers of course!”

All three Division 1 Lotto tickets from the weekend remain unclaimed.

WA’s Lotto luck follows exciting game features recently launched across Lotterywest’s Powerball game – delivering bigger jackpots and more overall winners.

The first draw to incorporate these new features will take place this Thursday 19 April. Tickets are available from Lotterywest in-store, online or though the app.

When you purchase a ticket in a Lotterywest game, you’re giving back to WA with the majority of funds raised from ticket sales going back to players as prizes or to supporting the WA community through Lotterywest grants.
