Unusual feeling leads to Lotto Win

A Broome couple claim it was an ‘unusual’ feeling that helped guide them to their Saturday Lotto Division One win.

The ticket for the draw on Saturday 16 January was from the Broome Pantry and is now worth more than $1,074,000.

“I felt I had to buy a ticket from this particular outlet,” one winner said.

“It was all in slow motion, but it just felt like I was being guided to buy a ticket.”

They said retirement plans are now an option thanks to their Division One win.

“We can now think about others, I think this is a real gift and opens up the chance to volunteer.”

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said there’s a range of options for WA players to win this week.

“Thursday’s Powerball draw has jackpotted to $30 million, which is closely followed by Saturday’s $20 million Superdraw,” Ms Compagnone said.

“Tickets are available from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.”

Lotterywest reminds players visiting a store to follow transitional COVID-19 restrictions to keep yourself and others safe, which are in place until 12.01am. Sunday 14 February.
