Productive week for $100,000 scratchie winner

A man from Success had no time to celebrate his $100,000 Scratch‘n’Win Top Prize due to a work emergency.

During a break, the man in his 30’s scratched his way to a Top Prize, courtesy of his $10 Mega Word Play ticket from Newstime Lottery Centre in Perth.

Celebrations were put on hold as he went back to work.

“I had to focus on work due to an emergency,” he said

The win has now opened the door for a deposit on a new home but his six-figure win, hasn’t dented his worth ethic.

“I’m going back into work, I’m not really meant to be in so it’s overtime, so all up it’s been a productive week.”

Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said WA’s focus has now turned to the Saturday Lotto $20 million Superdraw.

“This Superdraw falls on Halloween, so I can imagine a Division One prize would be the perfect scare for a WA player,” Mr Mooney said.

“Tickets for the $20 million Superdraw on are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.”

As the only State Government owned and operated lottery in Australia where all the profits are returned to the community, Lotterywest is committed to supporting Western Australians in this time of need.
