Powerball jackpots to an eye-watering $100 million

Powerball has jackpotted to an incredible $100 million and with it Lotterywest invites Western Australian players to give themselves a chance to make their dreams real.

“This is a mind-blowing amount of money,” Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said.

“Large jackpots result from the high numbers of tickets sold, making the prize pool larger every week a prize is not won.  There is no doubt that the size of this jackpot is going to capture the imagination of Australians everywhere.

“Big jackpots are incredibly popular – as the jackpot climbs, so does the number of people playing. People will definitely vote with their feet on this.”

While no-one had all seven numbers and the Powerball needed to win Division One, 10 lucky people across the country won just over $92,000 each in Division Two, one of which was from Western Australian which was sold at West Hay News, Perth.

The winning numbers were 16, 4 14, 2, 29, 19, 27 and the Powerball was 13.

Over the past seven weeks of this jackpot run, WA players have raised an estimated $12 million for the community through Lotterywest’s grants program.
