Powerball jackpot run supports WA Community

Tonight’s $80 million Powerball draw has seen a single Division One winner from Victoria.

While the State isn’t home to a Division One prize in this draw, one WA player is set to take home a Division Two prize worth more than $204,000.

“This Powerball jackpot run has raised an estimated $11 million for Lotterywest’s COVID-19 Relief Fund,” Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said.

“The money from Lotterywest ticket sales goes back into the community through prizes and grants, and support for our health, arts and sports sectors.

“Even though the State didn’t claim a Division One prize tonight, around 705,000 WA players have shared in almost $13 million in prizes from the last six weeks.

As the only State Government owned and operated lottery in Australia where all the profits are returned to the community, Lotterywest is committed to supporting Western Australians in this time of need.

All available profits from Lotterywest tickets contribute to the COVID-19 Relief Fund which will help those in the community impacted.
