Perth’s eastern suburbs produce two Lotto winners

Two Saturday Lotto players in Perth’s eastern suburbs are currently holding onto tickets worth almost $867,000 each.

Saturday’s draw saw five Division One winners across the country, with two of the tickets sold from High Wycombe News and Lotteries and Carramar Lottery Centre and News in Morley.

Kalem Hayes from High Wycombe News and Lotteries said he was ‘over the moon’ to sell the store’s first Division One prize.

“My father and I took over the business 18 months ago and our goal was to sell a Division One ticket and we’ve been able to do that in a short amount of time,” he said.

“We recently sold a Division Two prize and before Saturday’s draw one of our staff members said they had a funny feeling.

“I’m delighted this prize has been won in our community.”

Lotterywest Spokesperson Jennie Fitzhardinge said the winning duo have doubled WA’s Division One list for 2020.

“We are only a few weeks into 2020 and already have four WA Division One players,” Ms Fitzhardinge said.

“Thursday’s Powerball draw has jackpotted to $20 million and we would love to see another WA player make their way to our winner’s room.”

Thanks to Lotterywest players, an unused space in Morley has been transformed into a vibrant youth and community activity hub through an $87,026 grant.
