Perfect end to the year with five WA players picking up $1.4 million

Western Australia is set to end the year with 70 Division 1 Lotto winners after five lucky locals took home a prize in tonight’s $30 million Saturday Lotto Megadraw.

WA’s winning tickets, each worth a cool $1.4 million, were sold at the following stores:

  • Forrestfield Marketplace News

  • Helena Estate Pharmacy and News in Helena Valley

  • Whitford City Lottery Centre in Hillarys

  • Nextra Express Ellenbrook

  • The Lucky Charm Newsagency in Willetton

The State’s winners shared in the $30 million Division 1 prize pool with 16 others from around the nation.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said there was strong support from WA players in the draw and this was a great result.

“The Megadraw is one of the most popular Lotto events of the year,” she said.

“About one million tickets were purchased across the State and during our busiest hour of sales today close to 40,000 tickets churned out of lottery terminals,” she added.

“We’re absolutely delighted for our winners and whether they realise they’ve struck Lotto luck yet, I’m sure their prize will provide them with a great start to the New Year,” she said.

Over 311,000 other WA players won a prize in tonight’s Megadraw, including 36 people set to pocket a Division 2 prize worth $10,194.

Tonight’s winners are not the only ones to benefit from the Megadraw – with players helping Lotterywest to raise over $5 million to support the WA community.

Tonight’s winning Saturday Lotto Megadraw numbers were 6, 30, 9, 35, 27 and 37. The supplementary numbers were 4 and 14.

Ms Compagnone said things would continue to heat up next week.

“Where set to ring in 2018 with an incredible $40 million OZ Lotto jackpot on Tuesday and a $35 million Powerball jackpot on Thursday,” she said.
