OZ Lotto jackpot a life-changing chance to win $50 million

Western Australians have a chance to win a life-changing amount with tomorrow’s OZ Lotto jackpot sitting at a massive $50 million.

If a WA ticket takes out the $50 million, it will be an OZ Lotto record for the State. A Perth family won $50 million on Powerball in 2015.

The current OZ Lotto record is $40 million for a south-west family in March 2016.

Lotterywest spokesperson Jennie Fitzhardinge said $50 million is enough to get us all dreaming.

“It is such a life-changing amount of money and our previous winners have certainly jumped at the opportunity to live out their dreams,” Ms Fitzhardinge said.

“In 2018, a FIFO worker said he would be quitting FIFO work and setting up an animal refuge.

“In 2017, a Busselton woman said her $15 million win would go towards her own home and a world trip in business class, and another couple who won $16.7 million that year with their first-ever OZ Lotto ticket relished setting up their family for life.

“An Armadale family turned their $10 million win into a family home and educational opportunities for their young children – including some fun stuff like a trip to Disneyland.”

Over the last five years OZ Lotto Division One winners have shared in $220 million.

The OZ Lotto jackpot isn’t the only exciting news coming out of Lotterywest with the search still on for a Saturday Lotto Division One winner.

The $790,203 Saturday Lotto ticket was sold at Woolworths Karratha, however the owner remains a mystery.

“We recommend that regular players become Lotterywest members, as then if they use their membership card when they buy tickets, the numbers are recorded against their details – winning prizes can be claimed even without a physical ticket,” Ms Fitzhardinge said.

OZ Lotto tickets are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest retailers, online or via the app.

Players are encouraged to spend only what they can afford.
