Most popular WA tickets sold for OZ Lotto revealed

OZ Lotto is at fever pitch today with $70 million up for grabs in tonight’s draw.

It is estimated that more than 470,000 tickets will be sold for this week’s draw – which would mean one in four Western Australians plan to buy themselves a piece of the action.

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said the most popular ticket type to have been bought for OZ Lotto over the past five years in WA is a Slikpik 12, followed by a Slikpik 18 and a Systems 8 ticket.

“Slikpiks randomly select the numbers for you, while a Systems 8 allows you to play more numbers in each game, giving you more chances to win,” Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said.

Although no Western Australian player has managed to take home Division One prizes in either OZ Lotto or Powerball’s jackpot runs, nearly 570,000 WA players have shared in prizes worth more than $11.5 million in other Divisions across both games.

“It’s a $100 million mega week with OZ Lotto at $70 million tonight and Powerball at $30 million on Thursday, so it’s not too late to buy one of our $40 Combo packs and be in with a chance for both draws,” Ms Coleman said.

“Our retailers’ busiest time is between 4pm and 5pm so don’t miss out.”

Tickets for tonight’s OZ Lotto draw are available until 6pm from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

Syndicate tickets are also available. Just ask your local retailer.
