Lotto win cures Monday blues

A syndicate of Subiaco workmates discovered a sure-fire way to defeat the Monday blues by sharing in $1.6 million thanks to Saturday Lotto.

It was only the second time the colleagues had decided to play Saturday Lotto, grabbing their ticket from Crossways News and Lotteries in Subiaco.

The syndicate organiser discovered the team’s fortune just before they all started work on Monday morning.

“I didn’t check the ticket over the weekend,” she said.

“The team was getting ready for work and this news hit them square between the eyes.

“They’ve been waiting for me to return to the office with something official from Lotterywest to prove that we have won.”

Lotterywest spokesperson Jennie Fitzhardinge said Saturday Lotto has seen 34 WA Division One winners so far this year.

“This weekend, three WA Saturday Lotto tickets turned into a Division One prize, but to know a workplace syndicate will share the joy makes it even more special,” Ms Fitzhardinge said.

“Last financial year nearly $455 million was returned to the WA community in prizes across all of our games, which is a phenomenal amount.

“There’s still time for WA players to grab a ticket in tonight’s $10 million OZ Lotto draw.”

Tickets for the draw can be bought until 6pm from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

Players are encouraged to play responsibly and spend only what they can afford.
