Lotto ‘Success’, again!

The Western Australian suburb of Success has done it again, delivering its fourth Division One Lotto winner for 2018 and the third from Gateways News & Lottery Centre.

The unclaimed ticket, worth $403,233 from Saturday night’s Lotto draw, makes for the State’s 37th Division One Lotto winner this year.

This incredible winning streak at Success has further cemented the suburb’s position as WA’s official Lotto hot spot so far in 2018, with double the luck of the next suburbs, the Perth CBD and Victoria Park, who have tallied two Division One wins each.

Owner of Gateways News & Lottery Centre, Robyn McDermott, said with a name like ‘Success’, the suburb is delivering exactly what was intended.

Mrs McDermott and her partner Owen McDermott own both Lotterywest stores at the Cockburn Gateway Shopping City, together selling all four winning tickets this year which have totalled $4.2 million in prizes.

“We’re on a sprint here at Cockburn Gateway Shopping City,” she said.

“We’ve now achieved a quadie and need to find out what a five times win is called, because I feel it’s just around the corner,” she added.

Mrs McDermott said with this week's $30 million Powerball jackpot, she was hoping Lotto luck would strike yet again.

“We’re no stranger to Powerball luck either with Gateways News & Lottery Centre producing a Powerball ticket worth more than $23 million in November 2015,” she said.

Tickets for this Thursday’s $30 million Powerball jackpot are available from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

Remember when you purchase Lotterywest games; you’re giving back to WA with the majority of funds raised from ticket sales going back to players as prizes, or to supporting the WA community through Lotterywest grants.

A recent Lotterywest grant provided in the Success area was for $70,000 to not-for-profit Assisting Your Life to Achieve (AYLA), which went towards a new wheelchair-accessible 12-seater van that will increase their emergency relief services and better connect isolated community members experiencing disadvantage.
