Happy Hump Day for one WA Lotto winner

One Western Australian winner will be ecstatic to know they have become an instant millionaire after taking home Division One in last night’s Wednesday Lotto.

The ticket, which remains unclaimed, was sold from Kingsley Newsagency and is worth a cool $1 million.

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said this is the second time this year that the northern suburbs enjoyed a Wednesday Lotto win.

“We usually hear from the winner within a week, so we’re all waiting in anticipation to hear and share their winner’s story,” she said.

“We’re also waiting to hear from another local winner holding a ticket worth $928,000, which was purchased with a Lotterywest membership online from the weekend.”

Ms Coleman said that all eyes were now on next Saturday’s Superdraw.

“The Superdraw is really exciting event because we’ll see the estimated $5 million prize pool jump to $20 million,” she said.

“Saturday Lotto is our most popular game and we’re hoping for another West Aussie to be welcomed into our Winners Room.”

So far this year, 62 WA players have taken home Division One prizes worth a combined $76 million.

Tickets for the $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw on 31 October are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

This week is Responsible Gambling Awareness Week (19-25 October) and Lotterywest encourages all players to play responsibly. More information is available at www.gambleaware.com.au.
