Gosnells joins in Lotto hot spot fever

Gosnells has welcomed its second Division One winner of 2018 with a $980,293 Saturday Lotto prize from the weekend.

The ticket was sold at newsXpress Foothills, with the store also producing a winning Lotto ticket worth $1 million in June.

While the weekend win was claimed today at Lotterywest HQ, the winner has chosen to remain anonymous.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said with two Division One wins this year, Gosnells has now made it on to the official 2018 Western Australia Lotto hot spot list.

“Following Success with five wins, Gosnells joins Beechboro, Mandurah, Palmyra, Perth and Victoria Park as the State’s luckiest suburbs,” she said.

“If this track record is anything to go by, we could just see these suburbs strike Lotto luck again in the upcoming $30 million Megadraw at the end of the month!

“Our Lotterywest stores are already reporting excitement in-store around the end of year draw, with players driving across town to get in on the lucky streak, just like a Gosnells family who scored $439,800 from a ticket purchased in Success earlier this month.”

WA’s latest win brings the State’s tally of Division One winners this year to 52, with these winners sharing in more than $103 million worth of prize money.

Over 68,800 other WA players picked up a prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, including eleven Division Two winners who each collected $8,596.

Thanks to those that play Lotterywest games, the City of Gosnells received a $1.3 million Lotterywest grant towards the construction of a community centre in Thornlie, which will support a range of community groups, services and events.

WA players next chance to win big is this Thursday’s Powerball jackpot where $25 million goes up for grabs, followed by the biggest Lotto event of the year, the $30 million Megadraw 29 December.

Tickets are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
