A Willetton family have received Western Australia’s best Christmas present for the year.
A friend gifted the family a couple of Scratch‘n’Win tickets from Burrendah News in Willetton, including a $10 Oh Christmas Tree game.
On Christmas morning the family scratched their way to a life changing present, a $150,000 Top Prize.
“Christmas was a bit of a daze,” the father said.
“When I told my mate, he was gobsmacked and said it was made for you.”
The family plans to use the win towards their children’s education and a swimming pool.
They said they’ll also look after the gift giver.
“I’ll have to take my mate on a holiday, his choice,” the winner said.
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said fingers were crossed for WA players to start 2021 right with a Megadraw win.
“Players can grab tickets for the weekend’s $30 million Megadraw by 6pm on Saturday 2 January in-store, online or by downloading the app,” Mr Mooney said.
