A lucky start to the week for Western Australia

A touch of Saint Patrick’s Day luck is running for the Western Australian owner of a Saturday Lotto ticket worth $1,279,122.

The winning numbers for Saturday’s draw were 42, 15,31,12,1,8 with supplementary numbers 32, 36 and the ticket was sold at Halls Head Newsagency.

Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said it’s hoped Saturday’s run of good luck would continue into the week.

“Tuesday’s OZ Lotto jackpot of $50 million is the biggest OZ Lotto prize on offer since July last year,” Mr Mooney said.

“Western Australia had 10 Division One winners in February and given it’s Saint Patrick’s Day perhaps there’s a bit of luck in the air.

“Lotterywest is the only lottery in Australia which is State Government owned and operated with a majority of money spent on tickets going back to the people of WA through prizes and grants.”

The last time an OZ Lotto Jackpot had gone WA’s way was in October 2018 when a syndicate of 22 people won $10 million.

The group from Albany started a coffee club and combined money to play Lotterywest games, with their efforts certainly paying off.

The search for one Saturday Lotto Division One winner from Success has entered its third week, with the $672,193 ticket from February 23 draw still at large.

Tickets for the $50 million OZ Lotto jackpot are available until 6pm Tuesday from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
