A colourful $300,000 win for Armadale couple

An Armadale couple are $300,000 richer, all thanks to their fondness of the colour pink.

Their $20 Extreme Cash Scratch’n’Win game from Haynes Good News Agency took out the first top prize for the ticket, with one more $300,000 prize still available.

“I always buy this particular ticket, I love the colour,” the winner said.

“The retailer told me I had to go to Lotterywest HQ to claim the prize, I thought I was going to pass out.

“I called my husband because I was in shock and couldn’t even leave the shopping centre.”

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said the news comes off the back of two Saturday Lotto Division One winners from the weekend.

“WA’s latest Division One winning tickets are from Crossways News and Lotteries in Subiaco and Mandurah Greenfields Newsagency, both are worth more than $740,000,” Ms Coleman said.

“The good news aside from our winners this week is by playing with Lotterywest, you’re also raising funds for the COVID-19 Relief Fund.”

Recently, Nulsen Group received a Lotterywest grant of $254,900 towards covering additional costs of keeping residents with complex disabilities safe from COVID-19.

As the only State Government owned and operated lottery in Australia where all the profits are returned to the community, Lotterywest is committed to supporting Western Australians in this time of need.
