40 million chances to win a never-ending long weekend

Get over those long weekend blues with tonight’s OZ Lotto which has ballooned to $40 million after going unclaimed for five straight weeks.

More than 300,000 tickets are expected to be sold in Western Australia for tonight’s draw – 18,000 in its final hour between 4pm and 5pm.

The last time OZ Lotto jackpotted to such high levels was in March this year when it rose to $70 million.

While no WA winners have taken home first prize for OZ Lotto, the State has had a string of luck with 27 Division One winners so far this year – six in May alone.

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said it would be a huge coup to be able to celebrate a WA win.

“We’d love to make someone’s long weekend, even longer,” she said.

“We’re also still searching for two separate Division One winners, with more than $1.5 million in Division One prizes alone still unclaimed.”

Nearly $13 million has been raised during this OZ Lotto jackpot run, $4 million of which is estimated to be given back to the WA community.
Tickets for tonight’s $40 million OZ Lotto draw are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

Players are encouraged to play responsibly and spend only what they can afford.
